Artist conversations, CAP Prize & Special Exhibition
Artist conversations
We were especially curious what it means for the artists exhibited at photo basel/berlin, to be back at a physical fair after months of confinement. In addition, we asked them to highlight certain content, techniques and also inspiration of their respective oeuvres. All interviews were conducted during the fair in Berlin.

Special Exhibition “Navigations”
Navigations is the title of the special exhibition curated for photo basel/berlin 2020.
The concept of Navigations directly resonates with the current situation in which we have to deal with "waves" and renegotiate our positions and habits. With this exhibition and through a selection of artistic positions, we also would like to address the term's wider scope. Navigations is linked with exchanges, travels, explorations, unknown realms. It relates to the movements or connections between different entities, times, destinies. Navigations can thus be physical and metaphysical experiences. It can also be virtual and associated with the computing universe, as we navigate the Web.
