Since the beginning of the armed conflict in Ukraine, our thoughts are with all the human beings that suffer from its consequences. As a platform, we not only want to promote peace, but we also want to help those who need to be supported. Over the past few years, we became friends with artists and gallerists from Ukraine and that is why we dedicate this photo basel x benefit edition to them.

Each print is available in an edition of 10 – stamped, numbered and printed on a 305g, Hahnemühle paper.

Sergey Melnitchenko was born in 1991 in Mykolayiv, Ukraine and started photography in 2009. In 2018 he founded the school of conceptual and art photography MYPH. He is a member of UPHA – Ukrainian Photo Alternative. In recent years, he has participated in more than 150 solo and group exhibitions around the world. He is the winner of Ukrainian and international contests including “Leica Oskar Barnack Award Newcomer” in 2017 (Berlin), “Photographer of the Year” in 2012, 2013 and 2016 (Kyiv, Ukraine), “Golden Camera” in 2012 (Kyiv, Ukraine). Shortlisted for Krakow Photomonth in 2013 and Pinchuk Art Center Prize in 2015, among others as well as a participant of “Paris Photo”, “Volta Art Fair”, “Photo L.A.”, photo basel, etc. He was nominated for “Foam Paul Huf Award” in 2020. From 2022 he is a part of “Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung” foundation (Münich, Germany). Sergey’s works are in private and public collections in USA, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, France, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Japan, Netherlands, Italy etc.

Xenia Petrovska, born in 1988, is a photographer
based in Kyiv, Ukraine. She studied at the MYPH art school and at the Kyiv School of Photography. Xenia‘s works are rooted in the mysterious and even slightly surreal atmospheres created by light and color. She was selected as a Fresh Eyes European talent 2021 by GUP Magazine.

50% of the proceeds go to the artists and 50% go to the Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund
